In 2014, I graduated from a Master of Teaching (Secondary) with Distinction, in the specialisations of English and Ancient History. I am qualified to teach these subjects, and all HSIE subjects, in school grades 7-12. In 2015, I graduated from a Master in Educational Studies, majoring in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL.) I also graduated in 2011 from the University of Newcastle, Australia with a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Ancient History and English, during which I also studied History, Drama, French and Sociology. I teach at the University of Newcastle Language Centre, in their ELICOS program for international students; I also teach English for Academic Purposes at the College of International Education. I also work in creative arts teaching, and tutor privately. I have had several tutoring appointments since my first as a NSW Higher School Certificate Tutor in 2010, and my experience includes: * NSW Secondary Years 7 -10 Studies (up to the Record of School Achievement - ROSA) - English, HSIE, Geography, Marine Studies * NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) - English, (Stnd & Adv) Society and Culture, History - Ancient, Modern * NSW Primary School - emphasis on English, spelling, reading, writing and literacy skills * University (Undergraduate/Bachelor's Tertiary) - Business, law, history, english, linguistics and education (Postgraduate/Master's Tertiary) - Education * Diploma of Justice Studies (Policing Degree Preparation) * Associate Degree of Policing Practice (ADPP) * International English Language Testing System (IELTS) preparation * General English Grammar * TAFE NSW Diploma of Business I have a current working with children check I have also completed my Child Protection Awareness Training, and my Anaphylaxis training. I enjoy the creative arts; I am a painter, sketcher, photographer and I enjoy social latin american dancing (Salsa, Bachata), live music and the theatre.
