I have completed a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in English and History, as well as a diploma in education both at the University of Newcastle in New South Wales. I have also completed a CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults).
Experience
I have at least 6 years of experience working as an English tutor for young students and 5 years of experience working as an ESL tutor for adult students. I like working as a tutor because it gives me the opportunity to work with students on a one-on-one basis. I have experience teaching at high schools in New South Wales as well as providing private and personalized one-on-one tutoring in ESL. With expert tutoring sessions tailored to specific needs and unique learning styles, my students always set the pace for their learning and decide what material to cover and when to cover it. In addition to all of this, my tutoring sessions offer students the kind of individualized one-on-one attention and timeous responses to their questions and concerns that is not always available to them in traditional classrooms.
