Education
I graduated from University of Newcastle with a Bachelor in Engineering (Civil) in 2014, and worked in the construction and mining industries as a civil engineer for 3 years. I then retrained as a mathematics teacher, and currently teach Years 7-12 mathematics and Year 11 Engineering Studies at a local high school.
Experience
I have been teaching full time in NSW public schools for 3 years. In this time, I have taught students who have achieved Band 6 results in HSC mathematics subjects. I have been tutoring high school students since 2009. Most students I have tutored have gone on to achieve their goals. I enjoy teaching as it gives me the opportunity to be a mentor and role model to young people, and it allows me to share my passion of mathematics. Tutoring allows me to provide tailored and individualised support for the student, and allows for effective tracking of growth.
