Education

I have a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry that I earned with honors. I have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, completed in July 2018. My research work involved electrodeposition of manganese oxide films onto metal substrates, and evaluating these films for their characteristics as electrochemical capacitors. Hence the title of my thesis, "Electrodeposited Thin Films of Manganese Dioxide for Electrochemical Capacitors".

Experience

I have been tutoring students in chemistry and other subjects since 2007. I have worked with a wide range of students and complement their learning styles. I can work with students of all levels. I have been able to help struggling students with the basics as well as high achievements. I can help with most aspects of chemistry courses with a first-year specialty. I have extensive experience with Nutrition and Dietetics students. I really enjoy seeing my students progress, and I want to help my students do their best. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with students to help them progress. I am professional, punctual, and approachable. Hobbies

Working full-time doesn't afford a lot of free time, but I try to keep up with some reading, working my way through some classic works, 'A Canticle for Leibowitz' is a recent one that stood out. The Go-Betweens, The Drones, Paul Dempsey/Something for Kate and The Beatles are on frequent rotation in my car. I also have an amateur hobby in making musical instruments, principally solid-body guitars, which also ties into some electronics work I'm interested in.
